In Session Four, we deepen our focus on emerging Internet and semiconductor device startup companies and investors out of Europe with two leading Spanish regions serving as our focal points. The lecture will feature short overviews by our new regional Government Partners PromoMadrid and Innobasque regarding the Madrid and Basque Region technology sectors. This 1-unit seminar series is open to graduate and undergraduate students; no pre-requisites. Open to the public at no charge.

Bootup Labs is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the promotion, growth, and education of the entrepreneurial community in Vancouver and BC.

Bootup Demo Days is a forum for showcasing the best digital media companies.  Companies present to investors looking for early stage investments locally in Vancouver and then again in Silicon Valley. Up to 10 companies will be presenting, and all are ready for further rounds of financing.

The SF New Tech Meetup is a series of regular events for VCs, journalists, hackers, techies, recruiters, CEOs—and you. It’s for people who want to see the latest and greatest new technology in their own backyard. We’re over 2500 strong—and we don’t bite.  And our monthly sold out SF New Tech events are a little more structured: people/companies get 5 minutes to strut their stuff—and then we get to ask questions, makes pithy comments, and let ‘em know what’s up! The inaugural Vator Splash event kicks off this February 4 2010. Vator.tv is hosting an event for seed- to early-stage startups that want to learn about building their business and launch and/or showcase their companies before their industry peers, investors and media.

The event includes snacks and drinks, and keynotes from Zynga CEO Mark Pincus and Smule CEO Jeff Smith, and ends with an after-party with venture capitalist Tim Chang of Norwest and his band gracing the stage. Meet up-and-comming entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that could change the world.
